What is Platform 9¾?

Platform 9¾ is that place that hovers between reality & fantasy, yet always moving forward. Our focus at 9¾ is on making ideas happen. Our passion is creating rich experiences for the people who engage with those ideas [like us].

For the last few years I have been in countless almost, maybe, and what if conversations in regards to web entrepreneurship, collaborative consultancy, boutique design services, and idea incubation, but have yet to do anything substantial with any of them. In early 2009 the concept to form a loosely coupled group of individuals who collaborate on projects & ideas together started to mature, and platform 9¾ (aka 9¾) was conceived.

What To Expect

The Platform 9¾ is about all the things we love thinking about, learning, and doing. It’s an eclectic mix, and covers capabilities ranging from user interaction, design, information architecture, innovation seeking, research, marketing, startups, online business, to the social soup bowl, including anything else we find interesting.

The beginning is the most important part of the work.

For now, Platform 9¾ remains a conceptual reality, a whole made entirely of its constituent parts. Over time, as parts are added, ideas are executed, and the collective knowledge & energy breeds creation, 9¾ may just need to thrive as a singular business. We start with a passion for making ideas happen & the design they require; as a process, as a practice, and as a way to create.
